Dear Sammy,

You are a precious gift, and I am so very thankful for you. While other Gigi’s are counting fingers and toes on their grandbabies, I am counting my blessings. Just to know you and love you makes my soul sing, and we have so many songs to sing together.

Someday I will tell you the all the ways I know God planned every little detail of and for you—just because He loves you THAT MUCH!!! And I will tell you how much I love you—so much so that you are my very last thought at night and every other breath I breathe during the day.

Sammy, I hope you will always believe. Believe in God and believe the best in others. Believe in good even when bad happens. Believe in tomorrow when today is unsure. Believe kindness is the best way just because it is. But most of all, believe God has given your life special purpose and meaning and that you will make a difference in this world. I know this is true because you have already blessed me in ways I could not have imagined before you were you.
