What started out as a simple Facebook post to inform our friends and family of the results of a recent ultrasound and to ask for their prayer support, revealed the depth and breadth of your own hearts with hundreds of responses and numerous shares to your own friends and families. I wish we could list every call, text, message, and post we received. As an alternative, it seemed appropriate for that Facebook post to be our first blog entry.

I don’t know what you see when you look at this picture…The doctors see a rare defect. Only half a heart. A misplaced heart. I see a purpose. My son who will be a living testimony to the absolute power of his loving Heavenly Father and ALL will see how great is our God! I am honored God chose us for this special assignment. A journey that will encourage the hearts of many. ❤️ If you feel led to pray for our baby he’s going by Baby Harris right now. We’re still working on a name that fits just how special he is. Dear Dacia,
My daughter Lisa and Carrie were childhood friends. I’m adding Sam to my baby prayer list. Your strong faith will get you though a lot. When I was pregnant with Lisa my prayers were for a health baby but I also added if not, it would be okay because God knew we would be able to handle whatever came our way. We did the same thing as you and your husband of not having any test done because it didn’t matter what the results would be, we would love our baby no matter what. You and your husband are indeed special for getting the privilege of raising Sam. I too believe everything will be okay. Thank you so much for sharing your story, I know it’s not easy when you pour your heart out for your child. Go Sam!!!!

God has chosen your family to be a special blessing and witness to HIS almighty power. Blessing because through your journey HE will prove HIS power over and over again, and you have been chosen to witness this first hand! HE has also chosen you to help others who may be going, or will go through this themselves. You will be the light in a dark situation. Another opportunity to share the love of GOD where others may not be able to reach. How blessed you are.

Mike and Dacia. My thoughts and prayers are with you. When I was pregnant 28 years ago we chose not to have a test to see if baby was ok. We trusted no matter what the outcome we would love and cherish our baby boy. I know that Samuel will be as loved as our Anthony. All of you will be remembered in our prayers
